Spring Update

At Saint John Paul the Great Academy, our Kindergarten and First Grade students have embarked on enriching educational journeys that blend classical learning with engaging activities.

Our students have delved into the wonders of Ancient Egypt, immersing themselves in the culture and history of the Cradle of Civilization. Through storytelling, they’ve journeyed along the Nile River, discovering the lives of pharaohs and the mysteries of the pyramids. Hands-on projects, such as burial masks inspired by Egyptian pharaohs, have allowed them to connect creatively with the material. This approach not only introduces them to ancient cultures but also fosters a love for history and the arts.

The first and second grade students started exploring the rich heritage of Ancient Greece. They’ve been introduced to Greek mythology, learning about the adventures of heroes like Odysseus.

We have kept busy with trips to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral as well as an exciting outing to the Upper West Side Play Museum.

The Academy exists to support parents in their mission to form their children in faith and reason. Our recent Ulma Family Night brought together families for an evening of fellowship and learning, strengthening the bonds within our school community. You can read more about the Ulma Family and why we chose them as the patron for our family outreach here.

At Saint John Paul the Great Academy, we're eagerly anticipating Holy Week and the joyous celebration of Easter, a beautiful season of renewal. We're especially excited as several students prepare for their First Holy Communion—a profound milestone in their spiritual journey.

Amid these celebrations, we're busy with enrollment season, warmly welcoming new families into our growing community as we expand to include 3rd grade in Fall 2025! Additionally, we invite everyone to join our first fundraiser, celebrating our school's growth and bright future!
